Each hour passes about 6 thousand cars. On the same streets for an hour there pass about 20 thousand pedestrians. Among them, of course, and children. The child is interested in the street and all on it the events. And it is frequent, carried away by something new, unusual, gets on the street into life-threatening situations. That is why already at preschool age it is necessary to teach children to be guided in the immediate environment. Especially it is important to know it to future school student as to him zachastny to have to cover the distance from the house to school and back independently.
Ours a day nursery gardens is located near bustling streets with heavy traffic therefore need of training of children in rules of conduct at the street is prompted by the life.
It is much made pedagogical collective on creation of conditions for work with children: methodical and children's literature, illustrative material is picked up, road signs and many other things are made. The review competition "A green spark" induced us to systematize more accurately work on training of children in traffic regulations, having allocated the following directions:
- to acquaint preschool children with the basic rules of traffic;
- to cultivate at children culture of behavior on the street.
Together with the senior tutor of a day nursery gardens N.A. Timokhova made the prespektivny plan of acquaintance of children with traffic regulations on the basis of the Program. Under the leadership of the employee of GAI held a seminar practical work for tutors. Thought over forms and methods of work with children, added necessary visual material Ц series of the pictures "School of Traffic Light Sciences", "Children, You Remember These Rules", "Posters on Traffic Safety", the folder a screen "I and the street". Dopolnitelno was got by various toy cars, manufactured the models imitating the street adjacent to our kindergarten with all road signs on it and transitions. Children of school No. 15 as a gift to kindergarten made in workshops desktop and figurative road signs and also silhouettes of houses, cars, people, and models. What have we begun educational work with children preparatory groups with? First of all have specified the knowledge which is available for them gained in previous years. Have found out that most of children had an idea of the basic rules of behavior on the street, but in time games on the site and in group didn't observe them. Children didn't know for what the translations are necessary and as it is necessary to cross the road.
We were faced by a task to specify and fill up knowledge of children of traffic, of rules of conduct on the street. Have for this purpose decided to use, besides occupations, children about traffic, about rules of conduct on the street of la of it have decided to use, besides occupations, target walks. So, within a year have carried out a series of target walks on the highway. Children watched traffic, operation of the traffic light. Together with the tutor children remembered what means red, yellow light at what light of the traffic light it is possible to cross the street and i.e.
During target walk to transition watched the movement of pedestrians. Specified: it is allowed to cross the street only in certain places Ц on crosswalks. Have right there noted that there are underground passages (have passed with children through such transition) and land (have back returned on the above-ground crossing). Have remembered that in the middle of the street there is "safety island" where it is possible to stop, look round and wait a moving stream of cars. Have emphasized that any driver has no right to run to "safety island". Knowledge gained on walk fixed on occupations.
Conducted with children tours by preparation for which tried to select program material accurately. So, the excursion to a post of GAI has been organized. Before its beginning have suggested children to think who to watch that laws of streets and roads weren't broken. Answers were different: the police officer - the traffic controller, the police officer by traffic police car, traffic light signals, etc.
When have approached a post of GAI, began to watch work of the inspector. Have considered how he is dressed. Children have noted: on him a waterproof jacket, a protective helmet ("It on a case of a rain, snow, any bad weather"); a striped belt and oversleeves, in hands Ц a striped staff. Have explained value of gestures of the traffic controller.
Watching, children reflected, looked for responses to the questions raised by the tutor. During walks they often met the traffic police car. "This machine, - the teacher specified, - everything sees and everything hears around. For this purpose it has the most different devices: loudspeaker, faroiskatel. All drivers and all pedestrians shall submit to the command which is in such car".
Children recall that helicopters which track movement on the ring highway that on roads TV cameras thanks to which the inspector of GAI sees all to the person and violators are mounted help with operation of GAI.
After each excursion the discussion helping to set knowledge and representations gained by children was led. The questions posed gave the chance to reveal whether correctly children acquired what was seen. For example:
- Whether there is a lot of transport on the street?
- Where the kindergarten is located?
- Whether there is on it a traffic light?
- Where do they cross the street together with mother (father) when they go to kindergarten and back home?
On walk, an excursion, occupations, during the conversations riddles, verses on the traffic light sounded, about police - S. Continued work on acquaintance of children to traffic regulations and on classes in acquaintance with surrounding. For example, suggested to consider the picture "City street", and then to answer on voprosy:kaky transport goes down the street? Where do cars go? Where can pedestrians go? Etc. Children correctly answered: in the city there is a lot of automobile and lorries, they transport people freights. To cross the street, it is necessary to remember about числ€лись rules which the pedestrian has to observe when crossing the street.
The tutor generalized statements detey:mny cars passes on our street. There are cars which police officers pass without turn. They rush, without stopping at intersections. These are special cars which should arrive quickly to the destination, - "ambulance", the fire truck, emergency. On the model in groups

Especially interestingly there take place conversations with participation of staff of GAI. One of them has begun with viewing of the movie "Your Friends" And then senior the lieutenant talked to children about rules of conduct on the street, about traffic light signals, suggested to make the small story on a picture, to explain the situation represented on a card.

Staff of GAI I built the conversations so that to exercise children in practical situations. For this purpose used the street model. Offered children game exercises: to move cars and figures of pedestrians according to a signal of the traffic light or gestures of the traffic controller. Or: to find the called sign on the model and to explain its value, etc.
It is very important to teach children to behave correctly on the street. We pay to this question special attention, using not only occupations, but also various situations during the games, walks, excursions.
During walks the tutor draws the attention of children to behavior пешеходов:никто doesn't run, without swinging strongly hands and quietly talking. Counter flows of pedestrians don't face because everyone goes on the sidewalk, keeping the right, to cross the road, only in that place where there are lines or indexes "Transition". The teacher explains that observance of rules of conduct on the street Ц an indicator of good breeding and culture of the pedestrian.
As rules of conduct vsegozakreplyatsya better in the course of vigorous activity of children, and first of all in a game, widely we use different atributy:tsvetny vests, pictures of cars. In group of large construction material children build the street, remember what houses, shops are located in it, place the corresponding road signs. Don't forget also about "safety islands". At first under the leadership of the tutor, and later and independently children will organize fascinating and useful games in which there are roles of drivers, pedestrians and traffic controllers. Everyone wants to give in white gloves a signalynastoyashchy police whistle, but the traffic controller that gets out of children who didn't receive any note from the tutor today.
On the kindergarten site in warm season children ride scooters, bicycles and cars, and in the winter Ц skis and sledge. The real traffic light to acquire traffic regulations.
Employees of GAI presented to kindergarten the operating car model: the wheel worked for it, headlights and a bulb flasher above a cabin were lit. Messages such car - it is honourable, only the one who didn't break this day of rules of the game "School of the pedestrian" could pass on it.
Knowledge gained by children in the course of the done work fixed also in entertainments. Fascinatingly there took place leisure "Red, yellow, green": competitions of two preparatory groups "Suns" and "Rainbow on Which I Live", children transferred in the drawings characteristic parts of cars, buildings which saw on walks and excursions, road signs. Of korobk and other material made in the games. Children and drew in free time, is more often in the second half of day, on the most different subjects: "At the traffic light", "We are pedestrians", "I work in GAI", etc.
All these drawings were presented at the exhibition issued to distinguishing "Red, yellow, green".
We understood that the work which is carried out in kindergarten in a separation from family doesn't yield desirable results. Here close contact of teachers and parents is necessary. That is why at the first PTA meeting have acquainted fathers and mothers with the work on acquaintance of children with traffic regulations which is carried out in kindergarten. About need of such work I said in the speech also the employee of GAI.
To vyyasjnit what help is necessary to parents in education at children of the correct behavior on the street, have suggested them to answer the following questions:
- Whether you tell children about rules of the dorogzhny movement?
- Whether you follow these rules?
- What help was would like to be received from teachers of a day nursery gardens on this matter?
Answers of parents have shown: many don't know that to tell children about traffic regulations in what volume, by what materials to be used. It has given us the chance to plan subjects of conversations, contents of folders-peredvizhek which were updated within a year. In preparatory groups screens have appeared: "Red, yellow, green", "Attention - the street!", "Everyone has to know it" where advice on acquaintance of preschool children with rules of pedestrians was given, literature for reading was recommended to children.
Having summed up the results of the done work, it is possible to note that children well are guided on the streets adjacent to kindergarten; upon transition through the carriageway we are attentive and careful; know the main road signs; are able to behave on the street, being guided by rules of culture of behavior in public places. We are sure that knowledge of "the road diploma" acquired in kindergarten will help future school students to become more disciplined and independent.
